TRESSLER Funeral services were held for Cpl. Donald V. Tressler, whose body has been returned from overseas this Thursday afternoon to his late home in Boynton. He died of wounds received in action in Germany, March 27, 1945, at the age of 20 years, one month and 4 days. He was serving with the 273rd Infantry, U.S. Army. He was born in Meyersdale, the son of the late Gorman Tressler and Nelle Austin Tressler, and was reared in the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Tressler, Sr., Boynton, who survive. His mother and a sister, Florence, reside in Akron, O. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Wilson Cole and the Rev. Robert M. Earle of the Nazarene Church. Military rites will be observed and burial will be made in Union Cemetery, Meyersdale, under the direction of H. R. Konhaus. Meyersdale Republican, December 30, 1948
