TRESSLER Garrett County, Maryland Funeral services for Mrs. Ressley Tressler, nee Florence May Briskey, were held Friday afternoon from the Springs Mennonite church. The Rev. Roy Otto, pastor, officiated and was assisted by Rev. Milton B. Miller. Pallbearers were Nevin J. Miller, Elmer Miller, Walter Killius, Allen Wengerd, Elmer Hershberger and Ralph Miller. Interment was in the Springs cemetery. Mrs. Tressler died Wednesday afternoon, April 30, at the Hazel McGilvery Hospital, Meyersdale, where she was admitted about 10 o'clock Wednesday morning. Born near Garrett, Pa., April 5, 1901, she was a daughter of the late John Briskey and Mrs. Clara Shumaker Briskey Stevanus, Salisbury, Pa. She married Mr. Tressler, a life-long resident of this community, April 29, 1917, and they observed their twenty- fourth wedding anniversary just the day before she died. Mrs. Tressler was the mother of thirteen children, twelve of whom survive, namely: Mrs. Ray Maust, Mrs. Roy Hetrick, Mrs. Ray Duerr, all of whom reside in this section, Ressley Tressler, Jr., Duane, Rita, Bridley, Donald, Mark, Marvin, Marvette, and Abram Tressler, all at home. Also surviving are her husband, her mother, two brothers, Alton Briskey, Meyersdale, and Norbert Briskey, Springs, five sisters, Mrs. Will Vought, Centerville, Pa., Mrs. Miles Lohr, Garrett, Pa., Mrs. Milo Ringler, Berlin, Pa., Mrs. Verna Landsberry, Somerset, Pa., Mrs. Lloyd Younkin, Grantsville, one half-sister, Mrs. Ben Scheeler, Garrett, Pa., and seven grandchildren.
