Tressler Sr., 60, Stoughton Lake, Boswell RD 2, died Feb. 19, 1982, at Lee Hospital, Johnstown. Born Dec. 14, 1921, in Boswell, son of Edward and Isabel Agnes (Swope) Tressler. Preceded in death by parents, stepfather Alexander Jeffrey, and son George Jr., died March 20, 1964. Survived by widow, the former Ethel Miller; and these children: Carol, wife of George Neuhof, College Station, Texas; Veora, missionary for the Church of the Nazarene, San Jose, Costa Rica; Jean, wife of John Allen, Edinboro; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Brother of Tom Jeffrey, married to the former Grace Rummel, Cleveland, Ohio. Member of Jerome Church of the Nazarene, where he was chairman of the church board, Sunday School teacher and Sunday School Superintendent. Army veteran of World War II, school bus contractor for North Star Schools. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny St., Boswell. Body will be transferred to Jerome Church of the Nazarene for viewing from 10 a.m. Tuesday until time of service at 11 a.m., the Rev. John A. Goodworth. Interment, Blough Mennonite Cemetery.
