TRESSLER George Washington Tressler, 73, retired farmer, died Monday, Jan. 11 at his home on Sand Patch R.D., after an illness of several months. A son of Joseph and Ella (Shrock) Tressler, he was born in Somerset County on July 11, 1869. His wife, Mrs. Susan Ann (Bittner) Tressler, and six children survive. Mrs. Walter Martin, Frostburg, Md.; Charles Tressler, Hyndman; Mrs. Spurgeon Dively, Sand Patch R.D.; Herbert Tressler, Nemacolin; Mrs. Stanley Compton, Markleton, and Mrs. John Porter, Sand Patch, R.D. He also leaves 23 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two brothers, Herman and Joseph Tressler, both of Meyersdale. Mr. Tressler was a member of the White Oak Evangelical Reformed Church where funeral services were conducted at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon by Rev. J. E. Gindlesperger. Interment in the church cemetery under the direction of H. R. Konhaus, mortician. Meyersdale Republican, January 14, 1943
