Jr. 09/19/05 The New Republic December 7, 1929 - September 19, 2005 Herbert L. Tressler, Jr., of Hyndman, went to be with the Lord, on Monday, September 19, 2005, at Meyersdale Medical Center. Born December 7, 1929, in Cumberland, Md., he was a son of the late Herbert L. and Rachael (Rembold) Tressler, Sr. He was also preceded in death by brothers: Don, Ray, George and Robert; and a son Vincent. He is the last of his immediate family. He is survived by his wife, Dolores T. (Pecora) Tressler; and his beloved pet dog Foxy Lady; and his special children Harold and Margie Porter; and his special granddaughter Shana Porter. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict. He was a self employed barber for over 30 years in Boston, Pa. area, and also retired from Carbide Corp. in 1992. He came home to his roots in the mountains in 2001 where he enjoyed the outdoors and he was an avid hunter. He will be cremated as per his request and there will be no visitation.
