He was born Dec. 1, 1893, and was an unmarried son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Tressler. He was aged 37 years, 5 months and 9 days. He served in the United States Army during the World War and saw active service in France. During the past five years he had been employed by the State Highway Department as road caretaker. He was a member of Harry Lichty Post, 394, American Legion, and a member of the Church of the Brethren. Funeral services were held at the family home at 10 a.m. last Thursday, Rev. Royer of the Johnstown Church of the Brethren officiating. Interment, in charge of Harry Lichty Post of the American Legion, in the Addison Cemetery, was made with full military honors. Meyersdale Republican, May 21, 1931 ----- OMER GALEN TRESSLER Omer Galen Tressler died at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey S. Tressler, of Ursina, Monday, May 11, 1931, at 2 p.m., aged 37 years, 5 months and 10 days, following an illness of five days. He is survived by his parents, three brothers and four sisters. He resided at the home of his parents the last few years, due to impaired health caused by services to our country during the world war. He received his military training in Camp Harry J. Jones, Douglas, Arizona, and served in the 3rd Division, 10th Field Artillery, A.E.F., and was wounded in action at Chateau Thierry in 1918. He was of quiet, reserved, honest disposition, selecting his associates with consideration of their character and honesty. He is deeply missed by his family and many friends. Funeral services were conducted at the home by Rev. Galen B. Royer of Johnstown. Interment in charge of Harry Lichty Post, of the American Legion, in the Addison Cemetery.
