Born Oct. 13, 1901, in Confluence. Son of the late Ezra and Emma Gowar Tressler. Mr. Tressler had been employed by the American Chain and Cable Co., Pages Div., in Monessen prior to his retirement. Member of the United Methodist Church of Monessen, and Lodge 638 of Free and Accepted Masons of Monessen. Also the Mon Valley Syria Shrine Caravan 17, and the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of the Valley of Pittsburgh. Preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Wright Tressler, and two brothers, Harry Tressler and Herbert McClintock. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law Mrs. James (Betty) McLaughlin of Monessen, and a daughter, Shirley Tressler, with whom Mr. Tressler made a home in Monessen. Also a granddaughter, Linda Lee McLaughlin of Monessen, and a sister, lrene Tressler, Confluence. Friends were received Sunday and Monday and funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of the Rhome Funeral Home Inc. 1209 Grand Blvd. Monessen, with the Rev William O. Anderson and the Rev. D.W. Norton officiating from the United Methodist Church of Monessen, and the Olive Branch Baptist Church, Smithton, respectfully (sic). lnterment at noon at Addison Cemetery, Addison, Pa.
