TRESSLER Sherman Peter Tressler, 88, of Mt. Lake Park, Md., died December 21, 1282, in the City Hospital, Akron, Ohio. Born near Springs, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Polly (Stevanus) Tressler. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Laura Opel Tressler, in 1973. He was a retired construction worker, a veteran of World War I, and a member of the Glade Mennonite Church. Surviving are four sons: Parke, New Creek, W.Va.; James, Sulphur, La.; Paul, and Charles, Mt. Lake Park, Md ; four daughters: Mrs. Fern Staggs, Frostburg, Md.; Mrs. Leora Beitzel, Poolesville, Md.; Mrs. Dorothy Beitzel, Martinsburg, W. Va.; Mrs. Shirley Beitzel, Akron, Ohio; and a sister, Mrs. Naomi Smith, Oakland, Md. Friends were received in the Durst Funeral Home, Oakland, Md. A funeral service was held in Glade Mennonite Church on, Decernber 24, 1982, with the Rev. Kenneth E. Zehr officiating. Interment in the Glade Mennonite Cemetery. The Republic, January 13, 1983 [T574]
