"Tax" Tressler, Sr., 79, of Acosta, died April 4, 1985, in Somerset Comrnunity Hospital. Born Sept. 30, 1905, in Meyersdale, son of the late Charles and Bessie (Siehl) Tressler. Besides parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jim. Survived by his wife, Dorothy (Foster) Tressler; and these children: Delores Mack, and lrene, wife of Christopher Weimer, both of Acosta; and Carol, wife of Terry O'Kinsky, Somerset RD 7; Thomas, and Carl, both of Wichita Falls, Texas; and Van Jr., Friedens RD 1; also 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A brother of Mrs. Arminta Griffith, Six Mile Run; and Sylvia, wife of David Dunmeyer, Garrett RD 1. He was a member of the Acosta Church of God and UMWA, Local 1742. He was a retired coal miner. His death ends a marriage union of 55 years. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where service will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. John Thomas and the Rev. Samuel Charlton officiating. Interment, Sipesville Cemetery.
