Tressler, 69, of 844 Humbert Road, Markleton, died Sept. 20, 1999, at Meyersdale Medical Center. He was born Jan. 14, 1930, in Fayette County, a son of Walter D. and Minnie Pearl (May) Tressler. Preceded in death by parents, wife Mary (Colflesh) Tressler, sisters Ruth Conn and Betty Faidley and brother Robert, He is survived by the following children: Jean Peck, Ursina; Donna Baughman, Somerset; George Tressler, Rockwood; Rachel Coneway, Markleton; David Tressler, Meyersdale; Susan Tressler, Somerset; Kathryn Buday, Dilliner; Terry Tressler, Confluence; and Cynthia Knopsnyder, Somerset; 17 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Also brothers Clifford of Markleton; Leonard of Union Beach, N.J.; James D. of Fort Hill; and Gerald of Shade Gap; and sisters Mildred Pritts of Rockwood; Margie Tressler of Alum Bank; Nancy Handwork of California; Joyce Klink of Manassas, Va.; and Carolyn Oswald of Spring, Texas. He was U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of Somerset VFW Post 554, Kingwood 100F Lodge 1010 and Carpenters Local 2274 of Pittsburgh. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Charles F.
