Born June 9, 1919 in Jenner Township, son of Joseph and Edith (Friedline) Trexel. Preceded in death by parents, brother Donald Trexel and sister Ruth Clark. Survived by brother James J. Trexel and wife Helen, San Diego, Calif., also numerous nieces and nephews. A U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II. Self-employed dairy farmer. Member of Laurel Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jennerstown, and Somerset Post 181 American Legion. A very active member of the Republican Party, an avid grouse, pheasant and deer hunter, horseman and sleigh and buggy driver. He also enjoyed discussing the current state of farming in our area. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell, where service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Jacquelyn M. Ahern officiating.
