  Howard H. Trexel, 70, Somerset, DOA Somerset Community Hospital Oct. 8,
  1988.  Born Aug. 28, 1918, in Jenner Township, son of the late Robert and
  Alice (Hammer) Trexel.  Survived by wife, the former Elizabeth M. "Lib"
  Hlaston; daughters, Mrs. Robert (Kathy) Reed, Clark Air Force Base,
  Phillipine lslands; Mrs. Karen Kerlin, Somerset, and a granddaughter,
  Heather Kerlin.  Half-brother of Mrs. John (Emily) Kalaha, Stoystown RD 2,
  and John R. Trexel, Johnstown RD 8.  Step-brother of Mrs. Cloyd R. (Dorothy)
  Stern, Riveira Beach, Md., Mrs. James (Lois) Riley, Hyde Park, Pa., and Mrs.
  Robert (Carol) Wright, Baltimore, Md.  Member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
  Retired school superintendent of Somerset Area Schools.  Friends received
  from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Hauger-Zeigler
  Funeral Home.  Memorial service will be held 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Trinity
  Lutheran Church, Pastor H. James Meyers officiating.  Private graveside
  services and interment in Somerset County Memorial Park will be held at the
  convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial
  contributions to the Somerset School's Educational Foundation, S. Columbia
  Ave., Somerset, Pa., 15501.
