Trimpey, 86, Markleton RD 1, died June 28, 1998 at home. Born Jan 12, 1912 in Lower Turkeyfoot Township, son of the late William and Lila (Younkin) Trimpey. Preceded in death by daughter, Norma Jean Baker, sisters, Bessie, Marguerite, Mary and Esther; brothers Ralph ,Alvin, Charlie and Ed. Survived by Wife of 63 years, the former Mary Catherine King; children, Barbara Shroyer (married to Harrison) of Markleton, Doris Johnson (married to Don) of Cedar Ranch, Colo. and William J. Trimpey (married to Sally) of Markleton; 16 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren; brother of Mabel Marker of Rockwood. Attended Old Bethel Church in Markleton and Alliance Church in Rockwood. Member of United Mine Workers District Two. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, at Miller Funeral Home, Rockwood. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday at Old Bethel Church where family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Rev. Douglas Baker officiating. Interment in church cemetery.
