Trimpey, 64, of Berlin RD 4 died Feb. 28, 1990, in the Oakland Veterans Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born June 9, 1925, in Somerset County, son of the late Fredrick and Cora (Uphouse) Trimpey. Survived by wife, Betty (Romesberg) Trimpey, Berlin RD 4; one son, Dennis Trimpey, Somerset RD 1, and four daughters: Ms. Nancy Hendershot, Grantsville, Md.; Mrs. Donald (Linda) Golby, Berlin RD 1; Mrs. John (Kathy) Landis, Berlin RD 4, and Mrs. Hacke (Cindy) Mazanowski, Berlin. Also survived by brother, George Trimpey, Pine Glenn, Karthaus, Pa., and four sisters: Mrs. Rex (Ethel) Redrick, Somerset; Mrs. Burdette (Nettie) Sterner, Somerset; Mrs. Arthur (Betty) Traup, Rockwood, and Mrs. Donald (Marilyn) Heinbaugh, Philippi, WV.; also nine grandchildren. Death terminates a marriage union of 46 years. Preceded in death by parents, two brothers, one sister and two infant brothers and one infant sister. He was a veteran of World War II. Owner and operator of Trimpey's Apple Orchard, Berlin RD 4. Life member of Disableld American Veterans of Meyersdale. Also life member of the Military Purple Heart. Member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 654; American Legion Post 445, Berlin; Last Mans Club and St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Rockwood. Friends wiil be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the William J. Wood Funeral Home, Rockwood, where service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Clarence Moore officiating. Interment, St. Paul Ridge Cemetery, Berlin RD 4. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Rockwood.
