Born Feb. 3, 1926 in Ambridge, the son of Edward William II and Zita (Miller) Troll. Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Sally Frances Favo, who died April 15, 1993. Survived by sons, Edward W. Troll IV, Somerset; David F. Troll and fiancee, Jodie Sanow, Somerset; James M. Troll, Johnstown; grandchildren, Ryan Troll and wife, Carol, Santa Clara, Calif.; Bronwyn Korchnak and husband, Phillip, Clinton; Isaac Troll and wife, Donna, Johnstown; Morgan Troll, State College; great-grandsons, Alexander Troll and Apollo Korchnak; and sister, Mrs. Robert (Patricia) Roy, Fort Walton Beach, Fla. A 1944 graduate of Somerset High School and U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Worked until his retirement as owner and operator of various theaters beginning in 1949 with the Richland Drive-in followed by many others including the State Theatre, Embassy Theatre, Act I and II, the Duke and Duchess, Richland Mall Cinemas and the Richland Cinemas in 2003. Also a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. He was a life time member of American Legion Post 181, VFW Post 554 and FOE Aerie 1801. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset. Funeral Mass will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Catholic Church. The Monsignor Samuel J. Tomaselli celebrant. Committal Somerset County Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be given to the Will Rogers Institute, 10045 Riverside Drive, Third Floor, Toluca Lake, CA 91602. Vigil for the deceased will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
