Trout, 69, of Latrobe, died Feb. 8, 1999, at his home. Born April 29, 1929, in Hunker, he was a son of the late Lloyd Sr. and Thelma Jean Steiner Trout. Rev. Trout was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance, Greensburg, and was a retired pastor of the Christian Missionary Alliance Churches, with more than 35 years of service, having pastored in Croft, Egypt, Connellsville and Karthaus, Clearfield County. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served in the U.S. Army. Rev. Trout is survived by his wife, Etta Mae Prettiman Trout; a son, Melvin D. Trout, and his wife, Susan, of Latrobe; two daughters: Peggy Hoffman and her husband, Jay, of Frenchville, Pa., and Patty Poorman and her husband, Don, of Mingoville, Pa.; a stepson, Ed Bugosh, and his wife, Ann, of Darlington; three brothers: Dr. Foster Trout of Charlotte, N.C., Lloyd Trout, Jr. of Meyersdale, and Darrel Trout of North Huntingdon; three sisters: Doris Higgins of West Newton, Wanda Plotner of Smyrna. Ga., and Jean Sherman of Madison; and his stepmother, Julia Trout of Meyersdale. He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Dana, Ryan, Jillian, Autum, Melvin, Ben, Casey and Cody; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends were received Feb. 10 and 11 in the John J. Lopatich Funeral Home Inc. 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. The family greeted friends the morning of Feb. 12 at the Christian Missionary Alliance, Greensburg, until the time of the service. The Rev. Roy Dail officiated; he was assisted by Dr. Foster Trout. Interment, Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township. Military services were held Feb. 11 in the funeral home.
