Troutman, 90, died Tuesday, December 11, 1984, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Altoona. Born in Southampton Township, Somerset County, on July 28, 1894, he was a son of the late Amos Troutman and the late Isabelle (Blubaugh) Troutman. He was a retired farmer, a veteran of WW I where he served in France, a member of the American Legion Post 13 of Cumberland, Md., and Calvary Bible Independent Baptist Church of Ellerslie, Md. Surviving are his widow, Mayme B. (Smith) Troutman; two sons: Harold E. Troutman and John J. Troutman, both of Hyndman RD 1; four daughters: Mrs. Elva L. Long, of Wellersburg; Mrs. Doris J. Smith, Mrs. Mary Lee Bowman and Miss Carol E. Troutman, all of Meyersdale RD 4; one sister, Mrs. Edith T. Lepley, of LaVale, Maryland; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home where services were conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Ken L. Korns. Interment, Cooks Cemetery near Wellersburg. Pallbearers were: Dave Korns, Bob Long, Terry Bowman, Brad Troutman, Dale Troutman and Larry Troutman. The Republic, December 20, 1984 [T637]
