Trovato, 65, of Windber died Jan. 23, 1995, at Lee Hospital, Johnstown. Born Aug. 9, 1929, in Johnstown. Son of Rosario and Josephine (Casa11a) Trovato. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by his wife of 44 years, the former Pearl J. Lorenc, and these children: Cynthia, wife of Larry Hudson, Windber; Susan Lorene, Herndon, Va.; Carmen A. Jr., married to the former Connie Spinos, Windber. Also grandchildren Jennifer Purbaugh, David and Lisa Trovato and great-grandson Angelo Purbaugh. Brother of Josephine Coppola, George, married to the former Valerie Yurcevich, Mary Ann, wife of Patrick Romano, and Rosalie, wife of Vincent Saccone, all of Johnstown. Retired supervisors in the former freight car division of Bethlehem Steel. Former member of Windber Borough Council, having served six years. Founding member of Windber Community Building Board on which he served five years. Served four years on the Somerset County Redevelopment Authority. President of the Windber Library Board. Member and past president of Windber FOE 1633 and current district director for FOE District 6. Member of the board of directors of Somerset County RSVP. Member and past president of Windber Polish Education Association. Member of St. Casimir Society, Windber VFW Post 4795 and member of St. John Cantius Ushers Club. Member of St. John Cantius Catholic Church, Windber, where funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Leonard E. Voytek officiating. Interment, church cemetery. Friends received 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the William Kisiel Funeral Home, Windber, where vigil service will be held Wednesday afternoon.
