ÒChizÓ 01/08/05 Daily American Charles D. "Chiz" Troy, 72, Friedens, died Jan. 6, 2005, at Memorial Medical Center. Born June 1, 1932, in Somerset Township son of Clarence Clifton and Etta (McClintock) Troy. Preceded in death by parents, brothers Richard and Eugene. Survived by his wife of 44 years the former Patricia Kooser, whom he married on Feb. 25, 1960; children: Allison, married to David Finui, Indian Lake; and Douglas, married to the former Mary Ann D'Aniello, Somerset; grandchildren: Brandon Ditzler, Madison and Morgan Troy. Also survived by a sister Shirley, married to Ronald Brant, Freemont, Ohio; and a sister-in-law Dorothy Troy, Friedens. He was a beloved husband, dad, "Poppy" and friend. A 1950 graduate of Somerset Township High School and Korean War Army Veteran. Retired from Bethlehem Steel, Johnstown. Member of Friedens Lutheran Church and Listie Hunting Camp. He was inducted into the Somerset County Old-timers Baseball Hall of Fame. Former member of Stoystown Lions Club, and former Somerset Area Little League coach. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Viewing from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Monday at Friedens Lutheran Church. The Rev. Edward V.
