Born Aug. 11, 1926, in Confluence, son of the late Charles D. and Cleo (Anderson) Troy. Preceded in death by parents; grandparents; sister, Ruth; and brothers, Clifton (Chip) and Delmar. Survived by wife, the former Beatrice Artice; sons, Douglas, and Mark, both of Listonburg; daughters, Deborah Dryfield, and Cheryl Gilleland, both of Garfield Heights, Ohio; Terri of Erie; Mrs. Terry (Melanie) Sanner, Markleton RD 1; and Lisa, at home; stepsons, Richard, and Robert Suter, both of Addison RD 1; four granddaughters, a step-granddaughter; two step-grandsons; brother, Frank K. Troy, Somerset; and sisters, Elizabeth Groff of Clairton; Virginia Larson, Listie; and Dorothy Barkley of Somerset. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Navy veteran of World War 11. Was heavy equipment operator for Mattingly Construction Co., Cumberland. Member of Local 37 Operating Engineers Union, and Confluence Post 7250, VFW. Friends are being received at Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today (Monday) and Tuesday 10 a.m.-2 p.m., the time of service at the funeral home with the Rev.
