Trulick, 71, of Berlin (Macdonaldton) died Nov. 17, 1997, at Somerset Hospital. Born Oct. 24, 1926, in Meyersdale. Son of Paul and Clara (Stapinski) Trulick. Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Helen T. Chipelock; sister, Sue Trummert, and brother, Pete Stapinski. Survived by these children: John Jr., married to the former Sheri Walker; Carol, married to Gerald Darr; Paul, married to the former Michele Engleka, and Linda, all of Berlin, and Karen of Somerset. Grandchildren: Adam, Joseph and Eric Darr; Anthony, Vincent, Gina, Nicholas and Stewart Trulick. Sisters: Mary Begasse, Keyport, N.J.; Ann Drab, Glen Burnie, Md.; Helen Chonko and Margaret Popovich, both of Berlin. Retired from Somerset Hospital and former employee of Solar Fuel. World War II Army veteran. Member of St. Gregory's Catholic Church, Macdonaldton; Berlin American Legion and VFW; Berlin and New Baltimore Sportsmen clubs; Somerset FOE; Berlin VFD; Somerset County Oldtimers Baseball Association, and National Slovak Society. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where fire company service will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Msgr. Timo Swope officiating. Interment church cemetery. Graveside military rite by Berlin American Legion and VFW.
