Truscott Sr., 84, Stonycreek Street, Boswell, died Nov. 4, 2002 at Somerset Hospital. Born Dec. 22, 1917 in South Fork, a son of John H. and Rachael (Hale) Truscott. Preceded in death by parents; first wife, former Dorothy M. Jones, on March 27, 1969; brothers, John, Frederick and Fosten, and sister, Eleanora Truscott. Survived by wife, former Vera (May) Donahue; son, James C. Jr. married to Beverly Patsy, Somerset; daughter, Judith A., married to William Ash Sr., Boswell; grandchildren, Jeffrey and Melissa Truscott; Shei Conn; William Ash Jr. and Nicholas and Matthew Ash; great-grandchildren, Brittany and Brennan; stepson, Thomas Lee Donahue and wife Barbara, Milford, Mich.; stepgrandchildren, John, Tom, Megan and Jimmy Donahue; five stepgreat-grand-children; sisters, Helen, widow of William Mills, Jenners; and Shirley. widow of George Grove, Lorain, Ohio; and numerous special nieces, nephews and in-laws. Army veteran of World War II. Former coal miner and retired employee of Bethlehem Steel Corp., Johnstown Plant. Member of All Saints Catholic Parish and Boswell Post 461 American Legion. He would have observed his 30th wedding anniversary on Dec. 2, 2002. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where vigil for the deceased will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral. Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at All Saints Church, Boswell, the Rev. Father Justin A. Ratajczak OFM Conv., celebrant. Interment St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
