Child Killed at Acosta Stella Trzwar, 10-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Casimer Trzwar, died about 6 o'clock Friday evening as the result of having been caught by a falling tree in the park at Acosta, about 3:30 p.m. Her right leg was practically amputated at the hip by the tree and she suffered internal injuries. Robert R. Riley, a candy salesman of Somerset, was making a call at a nearby store, when a little boy ran from the park and broke the news. Riley responded, with others and took the child to the Somerset Hospital. The children had been playing in the park when the storm broke on them. They started to run to a shelter at one end of the park when the giant tree fell. In addition to the leg and internal injuries, the little girl's right arm was crushed. She is survived by her parents, two brothers and three sisters. The storm was severe between Jennerstown and Johnstown, tearing up trees and damaging growing crops by beating them to the earth.
