Born Dec. 7, 1930 in Ralphton, a son of the late Michael and Susan (Trusko) Tulenko. Also preceded in death by three brothers, Mike, John and George, and a sister, Helen Nixon. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Rose (Furman) Tulenko; three sons, Anthony and his wife, Christi of Poway, Calif., Cmdr. Edward and his wife, Connie of Goose Creek, S.C., and Stephen Tulenko of Latrobe; two daughters, Patricia Jones and her husband, Ralph of Herndon, Va., and Angela Gault and her husband Bob of Aurora, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Aaron and Kyle Tulenko, Eric Jones, Anna and Bobby Gault, Jenna and Lindsay Tulenko; a brother, Joseph Tulenko and his wife Janet of Waynesboro; three sisters, Mary Gavel and her husband Pat, of Acosta, Ann Zadzora and her husband George of East Lake Ohio and Margaret Dipre of Willoughby, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Mary Tulenko of Acosta and Judy Tulenko of Longmont, Colo.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of St. John the Evangelist Church, where he served as an usher, volunteered at church functions and was a member of St. John's Seniors. He also volunteered at St. Vincent DePaul. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean conflict, a member of American Legion Post 515 and was retired from the Latrobe Brewing Co. An avid polka fan, Nick enjoyed playing his accordion to entertain. He was a wood craftsman who enjoyed making crafts for his family and friends, especially on holidays - a true "St. Nick." The family will receive friends from 7 to S p.m. Tuesday and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the John J. Lopatich Funeral Home Inc., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. John the Evangelist Church with the Rev. Thomas Lukac as celebrant. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery. May you now rest in peace. The St. John's Rosary Altar Christian Mothers will recite the rosary at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, and the Latrobe V.F.D. will meet at 7 p.m., both in the funeral home. Military services will be held at 10:11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with American Legion Post 515 and VFW Post 3414.
