Born June 28, 1905, in Unity Township, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Laird) Kurtz. Preceded in death by her first husband, Dwight Shelley, and three sisters. Surviving are her husband, Lawrence Turney, and a sister, Mildred Murtland Steiner, Greensburg, and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Kingwood Church of God, the Willing Workers Class, the Queen Victoria Lodge No. 575 of Kingwood and the Laurel Ridge Homemakers. Friends will be received at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, Wednesday from 2:30-9 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., the time of services, the Rev. Stephen Show and the Rev.
