Born Dec. 10, 1907 in Somerset County, a daughter of Michael and Rosie Ellen Barnhart Maurer. Preceded in death by parents, husband Aloysius who died May 18, 1956 and three brothers. Survived by these children: Mrs. Marilyn Riley McArthur RD 2, Ohio; Donald A. of Grove City Ohio; and Richard W. of Thornville, Ohio; nine grandchildren; sister of Mrs. Mary Swartz, Canal Winchester, Ohio; Miss Daryle Maurer, McArthur, Ohio; Joseph, Pickerington, Ohio; and Dean of Somerset. Was a graduate of West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, class of 1930 and was a registered nurse. Formerly employed at the Nightingdale Cottage, Columbus, Ohio.; last employed Hulston Nursing Home, Hambden, Ohio. Member of Good Shephard Chapel, Lancaster Ohio. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Joseph H. Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny St., Boswell. Funeral service at 2 p.m. Friday at the Laurel Hill Gospel Tabernacle near Jennerstown with the Rev. Chauncey J. Ickes officiating. Interment Jenner Crossroads Cemetery.
