Turner, 58, of Grantsville, Md.; died Feb. 23, 1980 at his residence. Born at Avilton, Md.; he was a son of the late Joshua H. Turner and Adell Garlitz) Turner. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, a veteran of World War II, and a member of the American Legion Post 24, Frostburg, the FO Eagles Aerie 1273, Frostburg and the Grantsville Business Association. He was a retired coal and timberman. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Laura (Durst) Turner; three sons, Kenneth Turner, Topeka, Kan.; David M. Turner, Cumberland, Md.; and Thomas M. Turner, Beltsville, Md.; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Brenneman, Friendsville, Md.; four brothers, Joshua Turner, Avilton, Md.; Robert Turner, Midland, Md.; William Turner, Avilton, Md.; and Frank Turner, New Freedom,; four sisters, Mrs. Susan Wyatt, Baltimore, Md.: Mary Russell, Winchester, Va.; Mrs. Kathleen Matt, Lutherville, Md.; and Mrs. Anna Lloyd, Frostburg, Md.; and three grandchildren. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, where services were conducted at St. Ann's Catholic Church by Father Alden. Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
