  JESSIE MARIE TURNER 
  
  Jessie Marie Turner, 87, of 405 Prince George Street, Cumberland, Md., was
  dead on arrival Wednesday, Aug. 30, 1989, at Cumberland Memorial Hospital,
  Md.  Born Feb. 1902, in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late William
  and Mary (Hawn) LaRue.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Silas E.
  "Mike" Turner, on Jan. 14, 1977, she was also preceded in death by three
  sons.  She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Christian Mothers
  Club, St. Mary's Elderly Organization and local senior citizens groups.
  Surviving are one son, D. Joseph Turner, Avon, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs.
  Joyce E. Stegmaier and Mrs. Donna M. Garland, both of Cumberland, Md.; nine
  grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  Friends were received at the
  Scarpelli Funeral Home, Virginia Avenue.  Mass of Christian burial was
  celebrated in St. Mary's Catholic Church Saturday at 9:30 a.m.  Interment,
  Sunset Memorial Park.
