Turney, 95, of Belleville, formerly of Addison, died at 9:42 a.m. April 10, 1997, at Valley View Haven, Belleville, where she had been a resident for over one year. Born Aug. 26, 1901, at Keysers Ridge, Md., she was the daughter of the late Adam and Anna (Reichelt) Hanft. Her husband, H. Earl Turney, a farmer, preceded her in death on Aug. 14, 1968. She was preceded in death by one son, M. Kenneth Turney, Friendsville, Md., on Feb. 11, 1995: three sisters: Laura Seibert, Mayme Wright and Selma Frazee, and two brothers: August Hanft and an infant. Mrs. Turney was a farm wife and lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church (Missouri Synod) Cove, Md. She is survived by 2 sons: James C. Turney, Bruceton Mills, W. Va., and Harold P. Tumey, Boothwyn, Pa.; 2 daughters: Ruth T. Baker, Belleville, and Shirley Baddorf, Colmar; a sister, Margaret Weimer, Fairchance; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grand-child. Friends will he received at the Newman Funeral Home, 179 Miller St., Grantsville, Md. from 24 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev.
