Turney, 42, 610 Cherry St., Windber, formerly of Stoystown RD 1, was called home to be with her Savior and Lord March 2, 1986. Born March 17, 1943, in Jenner Township, Somerset County, daughter of James M. and Violet M. (Pugh) Turney. Preceded in death by parents and sister, Edna. Survived by son, Daniel J., at home. Sister of: J. Robert, Fort Pierce, Fla.; Sara Leventry, Stoystown RD 2; Ethel Lohr, Meyersdale RD 3; Charles, Boswell; Violet Benford, Rockwood RD 3; John, Latrobe; and Verna, Stoystown RD 1. Member of Riverside Grace Brethren Church; served as school secretary for Riverside Christian Academy. Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where brief devotional service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with Pastor H. Don Rough officiating. Interment, Horner-Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Memorial service 7 p.m. Thursday at Riverside Grace Brethren Church near Davidsville. Memorial contributions to Riverside Christian Academy, Johnstown RD 4, will be appreciated in lieu of flowers. Pat had a very special love for her Savior, and it was her prayer that others would come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior through her life and testimony. I John 5:11-13, Phil. 1:21.
