Turney, 59, of Somerset RD 1, died July 14, 1983, at his residence. Born Nov. 18, 1923, in Lincoln Place, Pittsburgh, son of the late Paul and Cora (Bennett) Turney. Preceded in death by his first wife, the former Mary Dryer, in 1974; one son, Paul Jr.; and one daughter, Mary Ann. Survived by his second wife, the former Ladonna (Weicht) Soho; one daughter, Mrs. Greg (Patricia) Hawkins, of Bedford, Pa.; a stepson, Dennis Soho, of Miami, Fla.; and three grandsons. World War II veteran U.S. Air Force. Member: Loyal Order of Moose, Somerset, where he was serving as secretary; Somerset Fraternal Order of Eagles; Somerset VFW; Somerset Volunteer Fire Department; owner-operator of Paul E. Turney Real Estate Agency, Somerset. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Friday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, where funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 1:30 p.m., with the Rev. Elias Kessler officiating. Interment, Jefferson Memorial Park, Pittsburgh.
