  GERTRUDE E. TWIGG 
  
  Gertrude E. Twigg, 78, of 1303 Lafayette Avenue, Cumberland, Md., died
  January 29, 1983 in Allegany County Nursing Home.  She was born Oct. 12,
  1904 in Fairhope, and was a daughter of the late George Emerick and Edith
  Emerick.  Her husband, Knova C. Twigg, preceded her in death.  She is
  survived by a son, Clewell A. Twigg, Cumberland; two brothers, James
  Emerick and George A. Emerick, both of Fairhope; a sister, Mrs. Goldie
  Crawford, Hyndman, and two step-grandchildren, Jesse Shipe and Craig Shipe,
  both of Oldtown, Maryland.  Friends were received at the Scarpelli Funeral
  Home where services were conducted with the Rev. Thomas Lantz and the Rev
  Robert Rink officiating.  Interment wiII be in Oldtown Cemetery.  Pallbearers
  were Calvin Lee Dolan, Harry Shryock, Henry Shaw, Russell Crabtree, Herbert
  Roland and Daniel Slider.
