Born March 14, 1922, in West Virginia, a daughter of the late William A. and Birdie (Groves) Cottrell. In addition to her parents, preceded in death by husband Henry Roy, an infant son, Charles, grandsons, Mark Joseph and Victor Elwood Jr., and a great-grandson, Dakota James. Survived by these children: James Uldrich and Louise Close, both of Ursina, Eileen Henning, Brenda Kushak, Darlene Bricker, all of Uniontown, Calvin of Markleton, Victor and Robert Uldrich, Christine Metheney and Jessie Rugg, all of Confluence; 36 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; sisters, Bethel Robinson and Georgia Holland of White Marsh, Md., Edna Simmons, Chincoteague, Va., Paul Cottrell of White Marsh, Md., and Donald Cottrell of Berlin. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, and at the Sugar Loaf Church from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, the hour of service.
