  ROSS UMBEL
  
    Ross Umbel, 78, of Confluence, died Jan. 30, 1972, in Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born Sept. 12, 1893, in Friendsville, Md., he
  was a son of James Harvey and Zaloma (Friend) Umbel.
    Surviving besides his wife, the former Bessie Bittner, are one
  granddaughter and two great-grandchildren; also the following
  brothers and sisters: Walter Umbel, Evans City; James, Joe,
  Augustine, Mrs. Pearl Pressman and Mrs. Annett Grove, all of
  Friendsville, Md.; Mrs. Myrtle Sleasman, Sewickley; and Mrs. Frances
  Bisbing of Gettysburg.  He was preced [sic] in death by two daughters.
    Funeral service was held Wednesday afternoon in Humbert Funeral
  Home, Confluence, with Rev. Arthur Gotjen officiating.  Interment in
  Addison Cemetery.
