JANE M. UNCAPHER

  Mrs. Jane M. Uncapher, aged 81 years, died Friday morning at the home of her 
son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Riehl.  She was a daughter of the 
late Josiah and Nancy Sipe Shaffer and was born in Somerset Township.  She was a 
resident of Berlin for 35 years.  Her husband, Porter Uncapher died a number of 
years ago.  After his death she lived with her daughter, Mrs. Riehl.  She was an 
invalid for nearly two years.
  Besides the daughter above mentioned, she is survived by three other children: 
Frank, Clarence and Dorothy.  Also these sisters and brothers: Mrs. Annie Fritz, 
Berlin; Mrs. Joseph Palmer, Texas; Mrs. Harry Benford, Somerset; Frank Shaffer, 
Jenners; Charles and Michael Shaffer, Jennerstown.  Funeral services were 
conducted in the Johnson Funeral Home, Sunday, at 2:30 p.m. by Rev. Herman C. 
Snyder.  Interment in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
