Born in Berlin, she was a daughter of the late Wesley Stevanus and Anna (Starver) Stevanus. Her husband was the late Clarence McKinley Uncapher. She was a member of St. Matthew's United Church of Christ, the Women's Guild of the church, and the B & O Engineers Auxiliary. She is survived by two sons, Ronald Z. Uncapher, Ellicott City; Robert M. Uncapher, Bowling Green; one daughter, Mrs. Emily Scarlett; one brother, Harry Stevanus, Somerset; three sisters, Mrs. Edna Blank, Owings Mills; Mrs. Alverda Glessner, Berlin; Mrs. Margaret Patsy, Cumberland; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home where services were conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. George Wehler officiating. Interment, Berlin Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Earl Campbell, Carl Williams, Earl Ehresman, Edward Lyons, Charles Weisenmiller and David Cassell. The Republic, October 11, 1984 [U0028]
