Born Oct. 20, 1910, a daughter of the late Peter and Josephine (Chiapini) Ferre. Also preceded in death by her husband, Roy McKenna Underwood; her son, Albert D. Brunell; her two sisters: Catherine Ferre and Mary Tonolini, and her two brothers, Bert and Joe Ferre. Survived by her son, Lester A. Brunell of Somerset, and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Barbara Ann Brunell of Somerset; three grandchildren: Annette, wife of Sean C. Isgan, of Somerset; Deana, wife of David Fleegle, of Somerset and David P. Brunell; six great-grandchildren: Patrick, Claire and Julianne Isgan and Holly, Blake and Leah Fleegle. Sister of Frank Ferre of Boswell and Constant Ferre of Boswell. Also survived by special nephew, James Tonolini of Bryant Pond, Maine. Mrs. Underwood retired in 1971 from Somerset State Hospital, where she was a licensed practical nurse for 40 years. Member of Somerset Hospital Auxiliary and a long-time volunteer at the snack bar. Also involved in the Pennsylvania Association of Retired State employees, 55 and Over Speeders and along with her husband Roy, giving assistance to her West Race Street neighbors, especially Elizabeth Lohr, Suzie and Margaret Jacobs and Nancy Webreck. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Hauger-Ziegler Funeral Home. A vigil for the deceased will be held at 3:45 p.m. Sunday. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Somerset, with Msgr. Samuel J. Tomaselli, celebrant. Committal, Somerset County Memorial Park.
