Unger, 90, 638 Hogan Drive, Martinsburg, W. Va., formerly of Gary, died Aug. 17, 2002 at City Hospital, Martinsburg. Born Oct. 11, 1911, in Jerome, daughter of Bruce and Elizabeth (Stevens) Unger. Preceded in death by parents; infant daughter, Dora Ann; sister, Elsie Burkett; brothers, Paul, Lester and Richard and long time special friend John Hudak. Survived by daughters, Betty Earp, Westminister, Md. and Doris, wife of Francis Slovikosky, with whom she resided; three grandchildren, Kim and friend, Fabian, Jason and Wendy; seven great-grandchildren, Joseph, Jacob, Luke, Nicole, Andrea, Hunter and Logan; sisters, Margaret, wife of Clair Eash of Johnstown; Dorothy, widow of Charles Pugh, Boswell RD and Helen, wife of Raymond Kolinski, Boswell; sisters-in-law, Mary Unger of Holsopple RD, and Edith Unger of Scalp Level. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Member of Laurel Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jennerstown and the LGWU. Former member of the 55 Speeders and Boswell Senior Citizen organizations. Also former member of the church choir. Retired employee of the former Dorfman and Hoffman Garment Factory. Loved gardening and tending her flowers. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell. Viewing also from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Laurel Trinity Church. Rev. Jacquelyn M. DePhillips officiating. Interment Maple Spring Cemetery near Jerome.
