  UPDYKE
  
    Bruce A. Updyke, 41, of Brant Road, Friedens, passed on June 26,
  2001, at home.  Born Oct. 2, 1959, in Johnstown.  Son of Edwin C. and
  Jean L. (Birch) Updyke of Johnstown.  Survived by wife, Kellie Sue
  (Heider) Updyke, daughter Audrey Sue Updyke (at home, sister Debra
  J., married to James Heider Jr., of Hollsopple, and brothers Brian
  Lee Updyke, married to Connie, and Randy Haze Updyke, married to
  Terrie, both of Boswell.  Also survived by maternal grandmother
  Beatrice Birch of Johnstown.  He was a 1977 graduate of Conemaugh
  Township High School and was employed by Fleetwood Folding Trailers
  Inc. in Somerset.  He was a member of the Somerset Kingdom Hall of
  Jehovah's Witnesses.  A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday
  at the Kingdom Hall on Cannell Drive in Somerset, with William Knecht
  Jr. officiating.  Memorial contributions may be sent to the "In
  Touch" Hospice, 1590 N. Center Ave., Somerset, Pa. 15501.
