  Glen E. Uphold, 59, Confluence RD 2, died Feb. 9, 1986, in Lakeland,
  Fla.  Born Feb. 19, 1926, in Confluence, son of late Howard and
  Nellie (Parnell) Uphold.  Survived by wife, former Pauline Glover;
  step-mother, Alice Uphold, Confluence; son Howard Edward, and
  daughter, Dianne Lytle, both of Confluence; eight grandchildren. 
  Also two sisters, Ethel Caye, Pittsburgh; and Harriet Yanego,
  Morgantown, W.Va.; and brother, James H., Confluence.  Preceded in
  death by son Dennis James and half sister, Janet Humberson.  Member
  of Grace United Methodist Church; VFW Post 7250, Confluence; and
  Ursina American Legion.  Friends received from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  Wednesday and from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at Humbert Funeral Home,
  Confluence.  Friends also received from 1-2 p.m. Thursday in Grace
  United Methodist Church, where service will be held at 2 p.m., the
  Rev. August B. Twigg.  Interment, Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
