She was born Aug. 27, 1924, in Brandonville, W.Va., a daughter of the late Worley and Hazel (Uphold) Glover. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glen E., infant son, Dennis James, sisters Jean Parnell and Ruth Metheney, and brothers John, Richard, Ralph and Chester Glover. She is survived by a son, Howard Edward Uphold, and his wife Rosa, and a daughter Dianne Lytle, and her husband Ronald, all of Confluence. Also eight grandchildren; Jeffrey, Jason and David Lytle; H.E., Glen and Becky Uphold; and Samantha Murray, all of Confluence; and Ronald Lytle of Morgantown W.Va. Also five great-grandsons; three great-granddaughters; sister Betty Wolfe and brother Wade Glover, both of Brandonville; and foster-brothers, Garrell Funk of Confluence and Paul Funk of Grandville, W.Va. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church and the Mountain Citizens Action Group. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, and at the Grace United Methodist Church from noon until 1 p.m., Tuesday the hour of service.
