  PERRY UPHOLD
  
    Perry C. Uphold, 55 of Friendsville, Md., died June 4, 1975, at his
  home.  A native of Friendsville, he was a son of the late Lafayette
  and Margaret (Riley) Uphold.
    He was a member of Laurel Run Church of God, a veteran of World War
  II and a member of Proctor-Kildow Post 71 American Legion of Oakland
  and Friendsville WOW Camp.
    Surviving are his wife, the former Evelyn Gillespie; a son Steven
  P. Uphold, at home; a brother, Dayton Uphold, Friendsville; and four
  sisters, Mrs. Jessie Hoover, Listonburg; Mrs. Martha Uphold, and Mrs.
  Fay Wakefield, both of Friendsville; and Mrs. Mabel Rexrode, Concord,
  Va.
    Funeral service was conducted at Newman Funeral Home, Friendsville,
  with Rev. Phillip Geoghan officiating.  Interment in Blooming Rose
  Cemetery.
