Born May 25, 1919 in Wells Creek, Somerset Township. Son of Henry and Mary Veda (Newcomer) Urban. Preceded in death by parents, two brothers, Bernard W. Urban and Harold B. Urban. Survived by wife, the former Dorothy Elizabeth Spangler to whom he was married 54 years; children: Thomas J. Urban married to the former Sharon Shoemaker of Friedens, Richard A. Urban married to the former Barbara Clark of Mechanicsburg, and Mrs. Edward J. (Nancy S.) Kozuch of Somerset, and five grandchildren, Scott and Rick Urban, Tony Urban, Joseph and Lisa Kozuch. Brother of Henry Z. Urban of Listie, and William A. Urban of Santa Ana, Calif. Also sister-in-law Mary Etta "Skippy" Urban of Somerset. Member of Listie Grace Brethren Church, 1935 graduate of Somerset Township High School. World War II veteran of U.S. Army, and Local 340 Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. Employed by B&O CSX Railroad retiring in 1982. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Ziegler Funeral Home where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Rev.
