  SHAWLEY-VALLIES, Hilda M. (King) 
   
  Hilda M. (King) Shawley-Vallies, 76, Jerome, died Jan. 20, 2008, at Memorial 
Medical Center. Born Feb. 2, 1931, in Jenner Township, the daughter of Stanford 
and Margaret (Hemminger) King. Preceded in death by parents; first husband, 
James Shawley, 1960; son, Robert Reed; and brother, Carl King. Survived by 
children, Evelyn (Shawley) Shroyer and companion, Peter Clawson, Jerome; Janet 
(Shawley), married to Tony Chambers, Portage; James Shawley, Simpsonville, S.C; 
and Cindy (Shawley), married to Clifford Markel, Beaverdale; nine grandchildren; 
and 11 great-grandchildren. Sister of Janet Blough, Somerset Pike; Charlotte 
Shafer, Gray; Alverta Blough, Somerset; Lorraine Lapp, Jerome; Denver King, 
Laughlintown; and Ray King, Jenner Township. Also survived by sister-in-law, 
Marie King, Jenner Township.
  Devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who loved gardening and 
fishing.
  Baptized at the Laurel Hill Gospel Tabernacle. Viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. 
Tuesday at the Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Main Street, Boswell. 
No funeral service at the request of the family. Please omit flowers.
