Vanaman, 85, of Confluence RD 1, died Aug. 4, 1997, at Somerset Hospital. She was born Dec. 23, 1911, in Fair-chance, a daughter of the late John W. and Sadie B. (Cooley) Lilley. She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Jr., and two brothers, Russell and John Lilley. She is survived by a son, Rev. Gerald Vanaman of Dundee, N.Y., and three daughters: Donna Larrimore and Lynda Jane Vanaman, both of Confluence, and Hope Muse of Baltimore, Md.; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. Also, three sisters: Sarah Petlock of Washington; Bessie Van Divner of Perryopolis, Hattie Duke of Akron, Ohio, and a brother, Harry Lilley of Akron. Member of Calvary Community Church of Confluence. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday (today), and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the Calvary Community Church, with the Rev. Gerald Vanaman and the Rev. James Keslar Jr. officiating. Interment, Jersey Cemetery. No viewing at the church.
