  VANATTA
  
    Twila Ling Vanatta, 79, of Friedens died March 6, 1998 in Somerset
  Hospital.  Born Jan. 23, 1919, in Shade Township, a daughter of the late
  Howard and Elnora (Small) Ling.  Preceded in death by one son, Byron,
  brothers Willard and Harold, and a sister, Oleta Sechler Flood.  Survived
  by two sons, Allen Fritz of Stoystown and Harry Peter Vanatta of
  Washingtonville, N.Y.  A brother of Merle R. Ling of Philadelphia.  Also
  survived by a number of nieces and nephews, two grandsons, Brian and Barry,
  and a great-granddaughter Emily.  A very good friend of Beatrice Woy of
  Friedens.  She was retired from the Ceba Geigy pharmaceutical company. 
  Friends will be received from 24 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Robert H. Halverson
  Funeral Home, where service will be conducted Monday at 10:30 a.m. Pastor
  James R. Ling officiating.  Interment Buckstown Cemetery.
