  JANE VANDERVILT 
  
    Jane Vandervilt, 61, of 403 Main St., Berlin, died June 28, 1983, at home.
    She was born July 1, 1921, in Somerset County, a daughter of Frank and
  Edith (Johns) Koontz.
    She was preceded in death by her father.
    She is survived by her mother, of Windber; husband, Jesse; and a son,
  Robert Smakula, of Florida; also three grandchildren. Also survived by
  three sisters: Mrs. Pauline Highlands, Florida; Mrs. Glenn (Marie) Keim,
  Davidsville; and Mrs. Clarence (Doris) Plows, Texas.
    Friends were received at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, where services
  were held with the Rev. Robert L. Hoffman officiating.  Interment, Mizpah
  Cemetery.
