  Jesse Andrew Vanderbilt, 66, Friedens RD 1, died Nov. 8, 1995, at Somerset
  Hospital.  Born April 30, 1929, in Brothersvalley Township.  Son of the
  late Jesse James and Blanche Oliver (Foy) Vanderbilt.  Preceded in death by
  stepfather, Charles B. Kurtz, and sister, Delores Snyder.  Survived by his
  wife, Dora (Wingard) Fleegle-Vanderbilt: 4 stepchildren, 17
  step-grandchildren and 15 step-great-grandchildren.  Brother of Mrs.
  Bernard (Laura) Fickes, Schellsburg; Charles E. Kurtz of Boswell; Ralph D.
  Kurtz of Somerset RD 1; and Mrs. Pearl L. Kurtz of Friedens.  Attended
  Mostoller United Methodist Church.  Retired coal miner.  Friends received
  from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home,
  Somerset, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, the Rev.
  David S. Jack, officiating.  Interment, Stoystown IOOF Cemetery.
