  Barbara Joan Vandervort, 67, of Somerset died Nov. 4, 2003 at her
  residence.  Born Nov. 14, 1935 in Barrackville, W.Va., the daughter of Rev.
  Earl Walter and Freda Pauline (Johnston) Freeland of Portsmouth, Va. 
  Preceded in death by brother Earl Freeland.  Survived by husband Rev. James
  Edward Vandervort to whom she celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Aug.
  28, 2003; children Ms. Karen Sue Zimmerman of Somerset, Gary Edward
  Vandervort married to the former Mary Jean England of Carrick; four
  grandchildren Erica Rae and Tobi James Zimmerman, Melissa Marie and Anthony
  James Vandervort.  Brothers James Freeland and wife Judy of Clearfield,
  Robert Freeland and wife Kathy of Portsmouth, Va.; sister-in-law Joyce
  Freeland of Hampton, Va.  A member of Somerset Alliance church and a 1953
  graduate of Bradford, High School.  Funeral service will be conducted at 3
  p.m. Sunday at Somerset Alliance Church with the Rev. William P. Wood, Rev.
  Scott Ream, Rev. Ben DeStefano and Rev. Sherman Berkey officiating.  Friends
  will be received following the service in the fellowship hall.  Private
  interment Somerset County Memorial Park.  Contributions may be given to
  Somerset "In Touch" Hospice, 1590 N. Center Ave., Somerset, Pa. 15501 or
  Somerset Alliance Church, 708 Stoystown Road, Somerset, Pa. 15501.
