She was born July 24, 1907, in Kantner, a daughter of the late Thomas and Hattie Ann (Rininger) Adams. Preceded in death by her husband, Frank "Babe" Vaneer, Sept. 28, 1979; one sister, Mrs. Madeline Dickey; and two brothers, William and Richard Adams. Survived by a daughter, Ray Ellen, wife of Lewis Ankney, Berlin RD 1; four grandchildren: E. Renee, Andrew L., and Tyler V., all of Brotherton; and Eric R. Ankney, Glencoe; one great-granddaughter, Ann; one step-great-granddaughter, Renate Berkebile; one sister, Alice, wife of Edward Berkey, Hooversville; and two brothers, Thomas C. Adams, Somerset; and Francis L. Adams, San Obispo, Calif. She was a member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Somerset; and a graduate of Mt. Aloysius College. Friends will be received from 1-5 and 7-9 p.m. Monday in Robert Halverson Funeral Home where Wake service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Funeral mass 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Peter's Church with Monsignor Samuel Tomaselli officiating.
